Davido Signs Biggest Music Deal in African History Worth 200 Million Dollars

Afrobeats megastar Davido has signed a comprehensive music and entertainment deal with Sony Music Group valued at $200 million, the largest single deal ever signed by an African artist.

The deal covers recording, publishing, touring, merchandise and brand partnerships while preserving the artist’s creative control and ownership of his masters.

Davido said the agreement was a statement about the global worth of African music and the continent’s creative economy.

Industry analysts said the deal would trigger a revaluation of African music rights globally.
